if you interested for spatial model you can utilize spatial land use allocation with PSO and Genetic algoritms

I don't know about the PSO method, but, in my opinion, I believe that a general approach could be to create a criterion for each layer of the GIS, does not matter if they are contradictory

Consider for instance, criterion ' transportation roads'. It applies to each alternative and the GIS can tell you the characteristics of the road network for each one. Then you load this data as performance values in the initial matrix.

You do the same for other layers. Then, the initial matrix will have data considering the advantages and disadvantages of each alternative and for each criterion.

You could add another criterion with the results of all layer considered together.

Thank you for your answer. I thought PSO is an algorithm that applied on our final output layer to optimize our output pixels values, but now i guess (Especially after reading this article) PSO optimize our criteria weights.

I figured out PSO algorithm can be used widely in many of application. This issue became complicated and ambiguous problem for me. Fortunately I noticed that some of my friends conducted PSO algorithm in their site selection projects and they told me they could help me in using this algorithm in my project.
