I have a VRP mode that considers stochastic simultaneous pickup and delivery services in a public bus transport. How can I solve it using GA? How to define the population, the crossover the mutation using Matlab tool box or using a pic of matlab code.
I have attached the detail description of the model.
if you have a newer version of MATLAB, I recommend you to use the default option for initial optimization experiments, and then try to change the operators.

In Matlab, GA is already provided and practically "user-friendly", you can modify the population size, crossover/mutation function etc by just defining that in the option part of the syntax, as long as you can model the fitness function properly. I am not an expert in OR but judging from your description you might also try to use multi-objective GA (which is also available in Matlab).
Go to the Help documentations in the software, they are very good and provide detail explanation on how to do it.

If you are finding it difficult to define the functions or code in Matlab the best way is to use the toolbox provided in the matlab and then play with the parameters till you get a satisfactory answers. In addition to this there are lots of codes developed by researchers made available in Mathworks. Just go through them for better understanding.
