Basically, you can enter additional link statements in the env-file. The exact syntax depends on your Abaqus version (has changed a lot recently); your file should contain something like:

link_sl = [fortCmd,

'-fPIC', '-shared',

'%E', '-Wl,-soname,%U', '-o', '%U', '%F', '%A', '%L', '%B','-Wl,-Bdynamic',

'-lifport', '-lifcoremt']

you can use only intellfortran in compination with visual studio and you must use compatible versions.

In linux you do not require visual studio or intel fortran. Open source gfortran compiler also works but the environment file needs to be edited according to the version. I have env file for 6.11 6.14 and 2016. Drop me a msg if you have any of these versions and would like to get them.
