I want to apply a time-depended geographical dataset (format: "Lon,Lat,Time,Data") as boundary condition in a Comsol model. How can a achieve this for an instationary simulation?
I know that tabular data in ASCII can be read/imported without problems. For us, so far such tabular dtasets represented the geographical information of a quatity (e.g. temperature) , but just for a single time step (e.g. initial) or the dataset was stationary at all. This is what works well in Comsol.
A time-dependency could be achieved either by reading in multiple of such static datsets (as described above), holding data for specific times. Or one reads a big file where all the 4D information is given block by block (similar to the the CSV ASCII export functionality of Comsol).
Who knows how to do that or can recommend a hint?
(this question is also relevant for other FEM/CFD frameworks like ANSYS Fluent/CFX)

Thank you for your answer. As I described in my question, it is about applying a data set, not defining an equation to make another quation or profile time-dependent. In so far, the link to google does not help much.
The youtube link is about a mechanical device that is modelled in Simflow, a UI variant of OpenFoam. Here, unfortunately, no connection to incorporate GIS data into a CFD/FEM simulation.
The paper suggestion "Geographic Information System (GIS) modeling approach to determine the fastest delivery routes" does not describe any GIS data integration into Comsol or any other FEM framework. Hence, here I'm also not sure to what you want to refer with this paper suggestion.
The 4th link refers to a paper that applies GIS to a modelling method that has nothing to do with FEM or CFD. Insofar it does not add value to tackle the problem I tried to sketch.
