Dear research professors and scholars,
I have developed a novel 3D protein structure (mutant DNA Gyrase enzyme of antibiotic-resistant E. coli) by homology modeling technique. Because this type of protein was not deposited in the protein data bank (www.pdb.com). So, I attempted to create mutant DNA Gyrase protein in homology modeling method. I would like to this protein in some online protein bank for future research on antibiotic-resistant related studies. Please suggest some online 3D protein upload website except www.pdb.com.
I'm not aware of any generic protein homology model database - www.rcsb.org/pdb stopped accepting pure models in 2005, Swiss-model (https://swissmodel.expasy.org/repository/) is restricted to the results of their pipeline, the same is true for modbase (Sali-lab, https://modbase.compbio.ucsf.edu/modbase-cgi/index.cgi). The Protein Model Portal (https://www.proteinmodelportal.org) is shutting down, I am not aware of a direct replacement. The Protein Model Database ( http://srv00.recas.ba.infn.it/PMDB/main.php) may be restricted to models generated for CASP (not sure, I did not try it)
I don't know any database where you can deposit the modeled PDB files. It does not make any sense to me as you can always model a protein from scratch, so why to deposit it somewhere.
