I am writing VUMAT for Dynamic explicit impact model. Its given in the VUMAT write only variables are, stateNew, stressNew, enerInternNew and enerIelasNew. But if i wanted to update the damage dissipation energy to take care of total energy plot to be consistant, I have no clue, how to update the ALDMD through VUMAT or any other source. Can anybody help me regarding this.
Not sure if that is available to manually change. But you can always create a new indicator which takes the sum of ALDMD and whatever you calculate. Would that be a solution?
Yes that could be only solution. but I feel it has to be done externally as a post processing step. Because, any state variable that we create will be calculating the values in a particular increment and for a particular element.
For example: If I am creating a state a new state variable for strain energy of the model, It should calculate the sum of strain energies of all elements as the result. I am unable to figure out how to do that.
Well, if you can't access it any other way, you can request strain energy densities for every element. You could then make strain energy out of it and sum them, but its probably the hard way to do it.
