We succeeded to completely remove paracetamol, amoxicillin and cefuroxime axetil using activated carbon and ODTMA-clay micelles complex.
You can pass the effluent through two columns: one filled with activated carbon which is connected to a second one filled with ODTMA-clay micelles complex.

Rafik's approach is a reasonably good one. Depending on flow volumes I would attempt to accomplish removal via direct oxidation on the waste stream using ozone. Applying O3 directly to the a holding tank would allow batch treatment and excellent control over the oxidation.
