Today's technology is more advanced, making children prefer watching and seeing rather than reading. if this condition continues to be left, then the impact will be seen after the child grows up. in the learning process, requires that a child likes to read, in the learning process, requires that a child likes to read, but what happens is the opposite, children's interest in reading is reduced. this is the future educational challenge.

Are children actually reading less or are they just reading different things like online text? In many ways it seems children might be reading more. I am not sure about this though. Awakening the love for books requires, I think, grown people to read interesting and captivating books with children. It is first of all a relational challenge. Are we adults willing to make this a priority?

Your question reminds me of John Dewey's idea that we leaning by doing. Due to sophisticated technology, children prefer, as you say, watching and seeing rather than reading. I agree with you that if this condition continues to be left, then the impact will be seen after the child grows up. As you say, the learning process requires that a child likes to read, but what really happens is the opposite, that is, children's interest in reading is reduced. This is indeed a challenging problem in the education of tomorrow.
Back to John Dewey's idea that we learning by doing. So, children's interest in reading will be mainly aquired when teachers and parents do their best such that children like reading. It is likely that the more they read, the more they like to read.

Dear Orlando M Lourenço ,there is an oddity in me, and also in my children, once we all like to read books, every time there is free time but since 2008 when I first bought a laptop / notebook, there has been a change in tradition, from reading a book to reading the writing on laptop that we access via the internet. comics, articles, biographies, scientific stories, articles about animals, plants, food, and more. and our children (two people) including my wife, a midwife like to read online until now. I guess this is a fundamental question on education. It can be achieved by focusing on three axes:
1) encourage children to read about things they are interested in depending on their hobbies. They may read books on sports, history, arts, planes, fashion, traveling.... anything they like
2) start with simple, small, nicely illustrated arractive books and then move to others, which may seem more 'boring' or 'difficult' at first.
3) encourage creation, (why not writen your own book in future?).
It is necessary, as the question and replies indicate to give motivation.

My mother taught my brothers and I how to read. As a young child, the first thing we would do in the morning is join my mom in bed to read (while our father made our breakfast & lunches). The older child who could read would read to the younger child(ren) with my mom in the middle. Once the older child could read on their own the next child would read to the younger sibling. Our parents also put us to bed early so each week my brothers and I would check out a stack of books from the library to read at night. Reading was a daily family activity.

It is an environment in the family which certainly helps children to grow & progress in his childhood behavior in a decent mode due to the environment of the family . Due to this environment child generally under loving care of his parents play an very important part with this sometime back I have expressed my similar views for the related topics for the children which I wish to submit herewith for your information
As per the present system of education junior & senior kg system started for the child & after completion of KG class the child enters for primary stage which standard 1 where he learning process starts .
For every student differs from students to students it depend on family atmosphere & the development of the parents .Even though the question is not relating topics but we all have noticed or observe that certain students are born with intelligence of high magnitude & the progress can become in the line with higher education .

Read to your child from the earliest age. I think first of all parents must set an example.
We adhered to all those activities which make lot of sense to us. We are attracted towards the activities of our interest because our brain attached a rewarding sensation whenever we are involved in those activities.Love for reading can be developed by creating an environment in which intellectual curiosity, information sharing and critical thinking are appreciated and rewarded.Habit of reading can be developed indirectly by emphasizing the importance of wisdom, creativity/ innovation communication skills, and problem solving.students should be encouraged to involved in discussions and debates at an early age.Students should be encouraged to speak their opinions and motivated to solve problems that require academic and non academic reading.The whole exercise of developing habit of reading requires modeling and rewarding each step of improvement by social and intellectual recognition.
