@kimberly Delica can it be done on ordinary TLC plates? Reverse phase TLC plates are very costly

It really depends on how hydrophilic your sample is. If you use the normal phase TLC, try optimizing your solvent system with 2% acetic acid in MeOH or you can go up until 5% acetic acid. Just make sure, the silica on TLC wont be dissolved.
