How to test the validity and reliability of an instrument variable after ivprobit in Stata?

We run a conditional logistic regression using propensity score matching to do some research.

After that we use ivprobit to test endogeneity, but the reviewer ask to do additional tests for the validity and reliability of an instrumental variable. The instrumental variable is uncorrelated with the dependent variable and the Wald test of exogeneity is insignificant. Are there any additional tests to verify the validity and reliability of an instrumental variable?

You should test the strenght of the instrument. You can just use the first stage of 2SLS in this context (look at the F-test of the excluded instruments). Regarding exogeneity, if you only have an instrument, you will have to argue why your variable do not have an effect on dependent variable beyond its effect on the endogenous covariate. To look directly at the correlation between the instrumental variable and the dependent variable or the residual is not appropiate, because you assume you know the true model.
