I've been investigating different testing methods for refractory bricks with special shapes. There are a few methods and standards for testing refractories; I wonder if you can help me there.
There are some arch, wedge, and key bricks that need to be tested, namely CCS and MOR, and I can't find a specific and standard test for these shapes.
I appreciate your help.
The standardized tests and test systems are designed for simple geometries and can only be used for samples with certain sizes and shapes. The only thing you can do with refractory bricks with a complex shape is to cut them into standardized samples and test them in different places. It is advisable to use the smallest possible samples and appropriate testing equipment.

Thanks for your response. There is concern here, if standard cutting shaped-bricks have the same property as first shaped-bricks. Is the answer trustworthy?
Broadly speaking, yes, but there can be subtle differences. Cut refractory brick does not have a sintered crust, so its surface is more sensitive to tensile stresses and slightly different values can be achieved under a bending load (MOR). This difference is minimal when the samples are subjected to pressure (CCS).
