I am keenly interested in the synthesis of heteroaromatic ionic salts for use as an organic template. I want to synthesize alkyl pyrrolium chloride or bromide through a simple addition reaction between the pyrrole and an alkyl halide, followed by ion exchange with OH resing to obtain the corresponding hydroxide form of the compound which is supposed to be water-soluble.

I want to know if this possible at all, considering the cost of payroll. Thank you in advance
