I have a peptide chain containing one cysteine. I need to prepare a stock solution for the radiolabeling purpose. Can anybody suggest me how i store my stock solution to prevent it from oxidation? i read a lot about DTT which is used to store the soultion containing more than two cysteines to prevent the disulfide bridge formation. i need to prevent any kind of oxidation that would take place with one cysteine. thanks
Yes, you can use DTT just the same. The only difference is that in this case disulfide bond formation will be an intermolecular reaction and hence will follow first-order kinetics, but even that will not make a difference.

Yes, 10 mM should be fine. Just make sure it is compatible with any downstream applications.
Geoff Margison that is a good idea, but I have never used TCEP owing to cost, etc. so cannot really vouch for it. Still, to be honest, if I was going for long-term storage, I'd try lyophilizing the peptide instead.
