How to store P.indica long term?

We stored the stock from ATCC in the -80C for a couple of weeks and tried to revive it in potato dextrose media, but it didn't work. Now we're trying Kaefer media. Does anyone also have a protocol for how to store P. indica long term? Any protocols for broths for P. indica?
