We are trying to prepare a stable CaCO3 suspension. Naturally the original suspension sediments quickly. We have tried to coat them with Iron, using Fe (II) salts to be oxidized. Unfortunately unsuccessful.
Do you have any other EASY method, e.g. using a industry-grade polymer or other surfactants?
UPDATE: I must mention that we are not synthesizing the CaCO3 suspension; we have a suspension (aggregates size ca. 1000nm), which after ultrasonication reduces to favorable ca. 300nm, which we would like to stabilize ;-)
thanks in advance,
