I would like to simulate rectifier antenna using CST, is there any demo to do this?
a rectenna has serval aspects..the actual antenna and then the rectifying element..ususally a RF diode in the square law region (this not a simple rectifier); thus you require a nonlinear analysis of the entire system. And it also depends if you are in phase lock with your Rf source or not.
Keysight ADS is generally used in designing rectifier part of rectenna circuits.
A rectenna is composed of an antenna and a rectifier circuit. The antenna can be simulated in CST environment and obtain its S-Parameters, radiation pattern, efficiency, etc. Rectifier circuits need hamormic balance regime to extract its figures of merits.
ADS software can be used to simulate both elements and have an accurate estimate of the main parameters of interest. S-Parameters of the antenna can be loaded as sp1 files and recreate the interaction with the rectifier non-linear behavior. ADS also has the possibility of runnig co-simulation where an antenna structure is solved using MoM and its EM characteristic is co-simulated in Schematic environment together with the rectifier.
Also, LSSP (large signal scattering parameters) in ADS is used for finding S11 of RF/microwave rectifier Circuits
