Hi, can anyone help me to understand about shannon-wienner diversity index please.

I found some papers that using a classification scheme to interpret shannon-wienner diversity index, for example ; http://dx.doi.org/10.13057/biodiv/d210237

My question, is this approach correct? Can a classification scheme from one site/study to be applied directly to other site/study that may have different Species Richness and H’max value?

For α diversity, can we interpret it just based on shannon-wienner diversity index (H’ value) by comparing it to a classification scheme like above?

I think this approach is inappropriate, as the only way to interpret shannon-wienner diversity index is by calculating the shannon evenness (by comparing H’ to H’max). Is it true that the shannon evenness value is more important/informative than the shannon-wienner diversity value?

Please kindly correct me if I am wrong. I am in doubt as I found some published papers using the above approach.
