How do plants perceive microwave radiation as stress? Do plants take microwave radiation similar to injury or heat like stress? Please provide references.
I do not know of any studies that address this question directly. But perhaps there have been studies related to this issue in areas near some of the large microwave "radar" installations around the world. For example:
In mammalian cell genes related to heat stress is affected. So, try to find same pathways in plants. As well as all environnemental stress related signaling system and downstreams could be affected.
One of developing area is ER protein missfolging stress - since microwave exposure affect dipole dynamics even *nontermal* levels could disturb folding in ER and thus stimulate related signaling.
