Hi everyone, i should do some analysis to study the mechanical behavior of the plantar fascia, i already have a CAE model of foot bones and plantar fascia, ligaments were reproduced using only tension truss element and connected to bones using a Tie constraints (node-to-surface). In the model I fixed the metatarsal with an encastre BCs and imposed a displacement only on the heel.
If i run the job it aborted after too many attempts on increment number 1, in the message file i see the largest residual force is greater than the average force and i think is this the problem but i don't know how to fix, please can someone help me?
The error is: FORCE EQUILIBRIUM NOT ACHIEVED WITHIN TOLERANCE

One quick way to try and resolve this is to start with a much smaller initial time step size. If your initial step size is too large, ABAQUS will not be able to converge within a given number of iterations of the first increment.
Also, it will be a good idea to investigate the .msg and .dat files for any warnings/errors. If there are none, then you may just need to start with a smaller initial time step size.
