Dear all. I am trying to rescue a fungi strain from a dried agar plate that is roughly 1.5 years old (been kept in 4C fridge). The person worked on the strain forgot  to make a glycerol stock. The plate looks fuzzy. We looked under microscope and saw mycelia and spores-like subjects.

Could anybody let me know what is the best and safest way to rescue this strain from the plate?
