I am afraid you must rely on your ability with the tweezers. Curved tweezers work fine for me and help to avoid damage to the retina. You should also try to remove a part of the vitreous humor right after lens removal and before fixation. This will help you on the next step.
Vitreous usually comes off very easily in the course of removing the retina. A small piece of Kimwipe can be dragged across the retina, but you must be careful not to also damage the ILM.
