I want to remove NaBH4 after applying it as reducing agent in a reaction of Cobalt (Co) metal incorporation into the pores of MOFs i.e MIL-101(Cr). Now how to remove NaBH4 while no effect upon other species i.e. Co/MIL-101(Cr)?
Is there any proper method to remove sodium borohydride?
Usually careful solvolysis/hydrolysis with either an alcohol or water.
If you have used SBH as reducing agent in aqueous solution perhaps, as suggested above, filtering the solution and then washing the solid fase with water will do.
Rinse thoroughly with distilled water to get rid of any remaining contaminant ions.

I'm afraid that none of the above washings will remove B from the matrix. I speak from experience. ESCA/XPS wil always show the presence of B if borohydride reduction is made.
The only route is to avoid borohydride reduction. Depending on end application I would recommend either hydrazine hydrate (5 or 10% solutions) or hydrogen, H2.
