I am using Surfactants i.e CTAB, P-123 and F-127 in meso-structured materials synthesis. After synthesis i want to remove these surfacrtants by washing the materials with boiling EtOH for 6h. Is such kind of washing will be enough to remove surfactants because in my case calcination is not suitable for the as synthesized materials. So only washing will be enough to remove CTAB, P-123, F-127? kindly share your kind suggestions.
Your mesomaterial, if it has a large specific surface, can adsorb surfactant well. There will be a competition in the adsorption of surfactant and its extraction into the phase of ethyl alcohol. Adsorption decreases significantly when heated. Your method is correct. Only filter the mesomaterial in a hot condition, so that the competition with the reverse adsorption of surfactants on the mesomaterial is less

P-123 and F-127 are non-ionic, they will go quick in hot EtOH, with CTAB you may have some difficulties depending on the material you construct and the application in which you want to use it. Check this discussion (where the meso-porous materials were also mentioned):

through solvent extraction template can be removed..solvent ethanol/THF..small amount of HCl added..another process is light irradiation through this template can be removed..
