Concrete Road surface must have certain coefficient of friction. Due to heavy vehicular traffic, rubber particles from wheels get attached to concrete surface. After a long period, concrete road surface becomes blackish and smooth and responsible for slipping of vehicles and accidents. There are some methods, such as:
shotblasting, chemical removal, waterblasting, shotblasting, and mechanical means (including scraping, sandblasting, brooming, milling, and grinding).

You can use a combination of chemical and mechanical removal if you want to do it in the lab. Take a piece of block and immerse it into a acetone filled glass beaker. Ultrasconicate the beaker for few hours to a couple of days. Acetone will remove organic components such as rubber but inorganic components such concrete will not etch. Use low ultrasonication power otherwise some concrete particles will break due to high ultrasonic vibration.
There is scope to search a mechanism through which removal of dust particle will be cost effective.
