Dear Dr Omprakash, After completion of the reaction I got insoluble polymer product. Crude was insoluble in polar and non polar solvents even after heating.
You should probably look into soluble (e.g. Wilkinson type) hydrogenation catalysts. Some of these are quite robust, and you could re-use the solution after filtering away your product.
Jamed is right, use some alternative catalysts. If you are getting insoluble material that is also good. Wash it with every solvent and check the purity of your compound.
