I have flash frozen samples of mouse dorsal skin that still has a decent amount of hair (the mouse was only trimmed before dissection). I want to use these samples to isolate ECM components, and do LC-MS/MS, as well as various assays to measure collagen, elastin etc. Is there a more efficient way to remove the hair other than plucking one by one? I am also worried Nair hair remoal cream might damage the ECM.
