I exposed fish to pharmaceuticals. At the end, I culled the fish and first removed the blood, followed by the liver and gills for further analysis (that is, extracting and checking pharmaceutical concentration/accumulation in each tissue). I repeated the experiment, but this time, I omitted the step of removing the blood and simply collected the liver and gills, which were frozen for further analysis. Hence, the livers and gills from the second exposure now contain blood. Could someone please advise me on how to effectively remove the blood from the tissue samples of the second experiment?
