I have some problem in thermal and mechanical simulation. In thermal simulation, distribution of temperature is not right, near the weld metal it is so high (nearly 500˚C) and in 35mm it is so low (nearly 40˚C).
Other problem is when I kill filler metal in both sides before using heat flux, during the first pass because of the dead element on the other side, almost no heat transfer to the other side.
I am using Gaussian heat source and I tried everything, I change Kxx and I change meshing so many time but it is steel incorrect.

500˚C is not so high near the weld toe. Maximum temperature in weld simulation must be about 200-300˚C upper than melting point of base metal. if max temp is 500˚C , you considered power parameters incorrectly.
killing of element in weld line is important, but at first step is not essential. residual stress with/with out killing element is nearly same (if you model a single pass weld). First model welding process and then consider birth and dead of elements.

thank you for answering my question,but base on the experimental article that i work on, in 15mm from the weld line temperature is 350˚C and in 35mm temperature is 100˚C .
I guess you considered power parameters incorrectly. please give more details for welding parameters and the paper which you cited. (I Simulated welding process in Ansys APDL, Ansys Workbench and Simufact Welding using goldak model.). IF you use one of the these softwares, I could help you
