You may try Birch reduction. It may require  OH protection

Yes Birch reduction is useful for reducing one double bond of aromatic ring ( using Na/NH3, in alcohol). Thers is also an important paper on cathodic reduction of aromatic bonds in THF, you will find it in attach.

Birch is Harsh. I would still use other organometallics instead of Rh use Pd or Pt catalysts.

you can try Birch reduction which will be definitely useful for reduction  of one double bond of aromatic  compound. However reduction with organometallic using pd and pt catalyst .

Also, Hydrogenation using of Raney Nickel at temperature  150 0C and pressure may reach 40 atm.  could do this reduction.
