Hi there!

I started from scratch in trying to learn hologram reconstruction and just to find codes that can reconstruct images with the off axis hologram we have in the lab.

I have found few books with matlab codes and basically I have a very basic algorithms for discrete Fresnel and convolution reconstruction

However, from my limited understanding, these codes I found are always seem to assume the reference wave as uniform and planar, which is then ignored in the equations since it is only an constants.

I assume this is ok to start with if the reference wave is planar, which is the case in most set ups where there is only one MO in the obejctive beam. However, if I have 2 MO(one in both reference beam and objective beam), wouldn't the reference wave become spherical wave? How can I take into account for this in this situation?

I tried take out the MO in the reference beam but it seems that the laser is really strong and result in a very very bright spot in the middle field of the image. I could add another neutral density filter(which I do not have at the moment) or changes the algorithm to account for the changes....But I couldn't find a paper that talks about this change specifically(maybe because it is too fundamental and easy).

Thank you so much for your help!
