Hi everyone!

We are conducting our first research study using QCA and would appreciate some guidance regarding our current design.

We have done some iterations and reached a condition selection and calibration that seem suitable for our research question. However, we currently have 26 cases (11 of them showing the outcome) along with six conditions. The truth table for the outcome has seven rows showing sufficiency and 46 rows that are logical remainders.

Would you say it is possible to conduct a decent analysis given these limitations? If so, do you have recommendations as for how we can enhance the robustness of the analysis?

We’ve also considered removing one more condition. This would however introduce a gap in our analysis, making it somewhat incomplete given our research question unless we could find a good justification for doing so. We do have one condition that is relevant but skewed (88.46%) - could that be a reasonable candidate for removal?

We are thankful for all advice on this! Thank you in advance.

Best regards, Freja
