I am developing devices for non-destructive sorting of forest seeds, as well as seeding, including aerial seeding.
Some basic values are necessary for the design of air seeding devices.
Please share the following parameters:
1) The weight of the seed (whether the seed is pelletized or not, group seeding or one at a time).
2) The depth of seed embedding in the soil.
3) The distance between adjacent wells for sowing the seed.
4) Elastic-viscous properties of the soil.
5) The minimum and maximum flight altitude of the UAV for aerial seeding.
6) Overall dimensions and weight of the seeding apparatus.

Hi dear,
1. seeds should have some weight for proper landing on the soil surface, if light weight seeds will flow in air and move some where after aerial seeding. Pelleting is also an good technology for improving seed size and weight with uniform size. Now a days adoption of SEED BALL techniques for forest conservation and afforestation programmes. you may look on this SEED BALL Techniques.
2. if we are seeding from aerial the seeds will not enter into soil, it remains on upper surface of the soil. if we are goin for seed ball techniques seeds are enclosed with the medium and no need of bothering about seeds dept. Because its already like sown seeds.
3. based on species required spacing we will set the time of opening the seeding valve.
