Dear all,
I have a watershed and wish to randomly split the watershed into different 'artificial' farms, and the farm area should follow an exponential distribution as found empirically from other studies. The 'artificial' farm could be rectangular or any other shape.
Is there any way to do this in GIS or other software? Any method achieved through shapefile or raster can be accepted.

Area and distribution can be two most index for this kind of random classification.

Dear there are many classifiers you can use to classify your area
such as SVM, MLC, MDC with arc map or erdas or even using envi software
