For example, suppose the data set is analyzed by random forest, and I make the partial dependence plot for predictor variable x. How can these plots be compared quantitatively, beyond just putting them on the same graph and looking at it? For example, does it make sense to fit linear functions to both partial dependence plots and compare their intercepts and slopes?
