I've read an article about quantifying collagen/fibers decomposition in blood vessels, especially in the media/intima of veins and they used angle orientation/anisotropy index. I want to ask which techniques we usually do to determine the decomposition? If we use Masson's Trichrome Staining and Picrosirius red staining for vessels, how are the differences between these two stainings in the relation to fibrosis?
