There are several ways you could potentially prevent Fe3O4 nanoparticles from attaching to the Chitosan/AgIO3 nanocomposite in your biosensor design. Here are a few possible solutions:

Surface modification: You could modify the surface of either the Fe3O4 nanoparticles or the Chitosan/AgIO3 nanocomposite to make them less likely to interact with each other. For example, you could add a layer of a different material (such as PEG or silica) to the surface of the Fe3O4 nanoparticles, or you could modify the surface of the Chitosan/AgIO3 nanocomposite with a different functional group. This would create a barrier between the two materials and prevent them from sticking together.

Change the buffer conditions: You could also try changing the buffer conditions (pH, ionic strength, etc.) to make the Fe3O4 nanoparticles and Chitosan/AgIO3 nanocomposite less likely to interact. For example, if the pH is currently at a level that promotes binding between the two materials, you could try adjusting it to a different level to reduce binding.

Change the order of layers: Depending on the specifics of your biosensor design, you may be able to rearrange the layers so that the Fe3O4 nanoparticles and Chitosan/AgIO3 nanocomposite are physically separated from each other. For example, you could try putting a layer of another material between them (such as a layer of gold nanoparticles) to create a physical barrier.

Use different materials: Finally, if none of the above solutions work, you could consider using different materials for your biosensor design altogether. There may be other types of nanoparticles or nanocomposites that are less likely to interact with Fe3O4 or that have other desirable properties for your biosensor design.

I agree with the suggestions provided by Kaushik Shandilya. The other thing that can be explored is immobilizing the Fe3O4 nanoparticles with conductive polymers like Nafion, it can solve your problem of cross-contamination. A further detailed suggestion is possible only if we know your sensing platform fabrication procedure.

I tried changing the buffer and pH. The results were enhanced but weren't repeatable. I would try other solutions.

Oleic Acid is best. Or you can use CTAB or SDS surfactant
