I conducted a binary logistic regression using the glm function in R. My binary predictor is the presence or absence of my study species. I have two significant variables but am just not sure what is the correct way to present this. Could anyone supply me with some references from ecological journals and give some advice? Thanks in advance.
The four most common ways to report the the results of a binary logistic regression is:
1. The coefficient only. The only interpretable feature is the sign and the p-value of the coeff
2. The marginal effect. The change in percentage points of y = 1 given a one-unit change in x
3. The odds ratio. The odds of y = 1 given x = 0 divided by the odds of y = 1 given x = 0 + 1
4. Calculating the predicted probability of y = 1 for various x-values, say x = 0 and x = 1, and setting other indeps to typical values in the data (e.g. mode/median)
What ecological papers use, I have no clue whatsoever ... :-)
