How to prepare inoculum of required concentration?

On the day of the experiment, a 1 x 10^7 colony forming units (CFU) in 100 μl of the bacterial suspension was administrated by intraperitoneal injection (i.p.).

Your overnight culture of Streptococcus suis contains 5 x 10^9 CFU/ml. Describe how you will prepare the inoculum of the required concentration to use to infect the mice?

How do I go about doing this?
