Hi everyone
I use vacuum filtration setup for preparing GO lamellar membranes, and I am going to use them for nanofiltration/desalination. The diameter of the vacuum filtration setup that I use is about 43 cm. However, the diameter of the membrane module that I use is about 47 cm. Does anyone know how exactly I can mask the membrane to expose just the lamellar part of the membrane to the feed? How I can prepare an aperture and attach it to the membrane?
It may look to be easy, but I have tried several times gluing a plastic aperture to the membrane, but in all of my attempts, I could see that the membrane is not completely sealed. So, I think the materials of the glue and the aperture are important. So, I would appreciate it if you could provide your answers in detail.
Thanks very much
