In our ongoing study we aim to assess the fecal microbiome and metabolome in patients in Indian population. For achieving the same we are referring to Franzosa Eric et al's.,

study entitled "Gut microbiome structure and metabolic activity in inflammatory bowel disease" published in Nature Microbiology.

However we have certain doubts and would really appreciate if someone could address the following queries.

1. How to prepare the fecal slurry/water? Do we need additional reagents or only water is sufficient?

2. At what temperature does the slurry needs to be stored and for how long can we store the same?

Kindly assist us with the same.

Thank you.
