What is the best and easy way to produce Aloe vera get easily at farmers field (with minimum use of machinery/equipment's) level to be used for coating of fruits and with no adverse effect on human health.
@ Debashis, use a fresh aloe leaf from a plant, first cut off one of the outer leaves from the base of the plant. Once the leaf has been peeled, you will see the natural aloe vera gel. If you want to keep longer time then you may add preservatives.
To grow under farmers field use well-draining potting mixture that contains some course sand or perlite. Best grow between temperature 55-80 F (13-27 C). Bright, indirect sunlight is always better to grow.
Yes. As explained by J. C. Tarafdar .Cut leaf, peel of outer thick layer, use the gel. For best results keep the plant at home and extract fresh Gel when needed.
Thank you sp much Sir J. C. Tarafdar and Emmanuel V Murray . Really I want to use it for coating strawberry for longer self life at field level. Thank you
The easiest way to get Aloe Vera gel is to extract it from fresh leaf of Aloe Vera plant .For that you need to have Aloe Vera plant and you can extract fresh gel whenever required, by doing so you need not to use any preservatives to preserve the gel.
You can make Aloe Vera gel at home by using a small spoon, scoop it into your blender. Be careful not to include any pieces of the aloe vera skin. Blend the gel until it's frothy and liquefied, which should only take a few seconds. At this point, your gel is ready to use.
