I am guiding a student group who are digging into the phase behaviour of multi-component mixtures at extreme temperatures and pressures. I have advised them to approach the topic by using Flory-Huggins as toy model. I am searching for a text(book) that derives the free energy expressions for ternary mixtures step-by-step. Does anybody have a good advice for a text to hand over to 3rd year bachelor students? Those I have do not really explain all intermediate steps very well.
