Dear all, I am working on a protein vaccine development for a poultry disease. The agent has three serovars. We want to synthesize a peptide (based on an OmpA-like domain of an antigen shared in all serovars) use it to immunize the chickens, obtain the antisera, and do monoclonal antibody (MAb) production. The MAb will later be used for Western Blot because as for now there is no antibody available against this protein on the market. How to predict the peptide sequence so it has both (1) a significant homology among the three serovars and (2) a strong immunogenicity? The available information is only the full protein sequence, no 3D structure or models are currently available. Any suggestion on the tools, steps, or protocols to do this? Thank you!
