To extract the lifetime from these plots is most easily done on a linear - linear scale and by extrapolating the minimum slope of the hole concentration to find the x-intercept on the time axis. This was performed using an EXTRACT statement with the results as shown below for a lifetime of 1e-9 sec.

Thanks Dhanu. I did the analytical calculations for Diffusion length by hand from the minority carrier  calculations that I got after simulating my structure(from tonyplot). Since diffusion coefficients of carriers are known, I calculated the carrier lifetimes in each layer.  

Now I can verify this with the extract statement. Thanks very much for posting your answer.
