My study area of rainfall-runoff modelling is in mountainous region and has snow cover. There is about 10 percent snowmelt contribution to the discharge of the river i am modelling. How can I include snowmelt parameters to enhance my study? any tutorials on snowmelt modleing in hec hms would be welcome..Thanks in advance

I haven't used hechms for snow melt based runoff modeling. But I think that you now need temperature data to differentiate between snow and non snow day. I think you should use degree-day factor

HEC-HMS platform includes a temperature index (or the gridded temperature index) snowmelt routine which uses the antecedent temperature index for calculating the melt rate.
The required inputs for the aforementioned snowmelt method are temperature (main) and precipitation (for calculating snowmelt in rainy days). In this method, you can define some elevation bands for your sub-basins while there are some snowmelt related parameters for all sub-basins.

In order to estimate the parameters for your case study, you can manually calibrate them, or use a global optimization approach.
