Our lab currently uses fiberboard 100-space freezer boxes in metal racks to store our antibodies. The fiberboard gets worn out and the racks are clumsy (they are the sliding drawer type). So, I'm looking for a better way to organize our FACS antibody inventory. I looked at plastic boxes, but so far I haven't found any that fit the wider BD Biosciences glass vials. With a cardboard box, you can just rip the paper grid insert to fit the larger vial, but with plastic you obviously can't do that. Anybody have any products or tips for keeping a FACS antibody inventory clean and easy to access?
Hi Ryan, I am assuming that you keep your Abs at -80C.
Keeping them at -20oC in 50% glycerol will make a world of difference in accessing them and keeping inventory.

We keep our antibodies in plastic boxes divided into small bee wax like parts made out of hard cartoons (we cut them ourselves so BD bottles will also fit in), this way they will not shuffle and stay organised. If they do not have the Ab and conjugate names on top, we stick on them rounded coloured labels and write what is inside. It helps quite a lot.
We simply keep our antibodies into 4C within plastic boxes labelled with number by our lab. assistant and manage our registry from receiving till finish. Quiet efficient way to work smoothly.
