I am intending to measure the PL spectra for my perovskite samples. How can we obtain a corrected PL spectra in the spectrometer, independent of the photoresponsivity of the silicon photodetector? I do not have the correction file that is usually provided with the spectrometer.
The PL spectrum can be corrected by calibrating your spectrometer's detection hand, i. e. monochromator and detector (and optical fibres, if any). For this, you need a calibration lamp. A standard halogen lamp, CCT ~3000K or Avantes Ava-Hal-Cal type lamp with cosine diffuser. Record the spectrum of calibration lamp using your detection system (Integrating sphere can be used to reduce intensity. No density filters) and then obtain a calibration file by comparing recorded spectrum with standard lamps spectrum (provided by supplier with calibration lamp, usually close to the black body spectrum at respective CCT). Use this calibration file for correcting the PL spectrum measured using identical detection hand and the used parameters.

It is not too simple, for correct calibration you need a light source with a known spectrum and to compare it with measured ones.

There is another way how automatically take into account the spectral characteristics of the photoreceiver and spectrum of the light source. It will be done if one measure intensity of an incident beam of given wavelength and change receiver sensitivity to keep it constant.
