I have 3 machines and only 2 machines are used in the model. The third machine is used when one of the machine or both the machines are down-time or not in working condition. Could someone help me in modeling this situation?

You can using the Set option for resources.
Resource> Basic process:
MyMashines >Fixed capacity>2
ReservedMashine> Fixed capacity>1
Set>Basic process:
Tools>Resource>2 rows
Last, in Resources choose the set for type, set name is Tools and selection Rule is Preferred Order. Before you should create the Attribute expl. name is Number and in Resources window choose in Save Attribute your created name of Attribute (Number).
In Members window the First Resource name has a highest priority, it's mean the model used first two machines from set and if this machines are busy use the second priority set (ReservedMashine).
