I am working on a numerical analysis to study a steel strip reinforced earth wall. The wall consists of a 7 concrete facing panels and each panel is carries a steel strip reinforcement at its mid height. The wall, being flexible, is supposed to undergo plastic deformations till failure. How do I model the panel-panel, soil-reinforcement and reinforcement-panel interface in CESAR LCPC? What elements do I consider while modelling and what is the procedure to do so?

May be there is an interface element in the package otherwise give a different properties to the contact face.
hi..you have to use contact - contact surface interface element to simulate the panel - panel, soil - reinforcement and reinforcement - panel. The interface behaviour is two dimension in nature that is the displacement normal to the two contact termed normal stiffness and displacement parallel to the contact plane (tangential displacement) termed as shear displacement. So to simulate this we need to assign normal and shear stiffness between two contact point (Panel - reinforcement). You check any interface element is available in the software, in 2-d analysis it is surface - surface contact and for 3-dimension analysis it is volume - volume contact..ok all the best in your research..
I am not quite familiar with CESAR LCPC. But there is a paper, Damians et al. - Equivalent interface properties to model soil-facing interactions 2015, may contain background knowledge you need.
