I have quantum dots dispersed a solvent. If I am considering 2 ml of the solvent, then how do I find out how much is the amount of sample in that solvent? I tried drying the sample to obtain powder form but could not get the powder. Is there a different method or characterization technique?

Have you dispersed quantum dots powder in solvent or you prepared them in liquid form ??
Sandip Pchoudhury If you can´t use more sample to be lyophilized and then to be weighed by difference, you can try to calculate it by measuring their UA by Uv-vis.

If you used like hydrothermal treatment then you can quantify as per initial amounts u taken for formation of carbon quantum dots ..

the best analytical technique to calculate quantitatively the amount of QDs (or other metal nanoparticles) in liquid samples, is the Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS)

Sandip Pchoudhury I agree with Carlos Caro , but you should know that ICP it´s one of the most expensive characterization techniques (if you do not have it in your own lab).
Thank you for the suggestions. I gu ess I have to hunt down for an ICP facility. I did try to make an approximation from the amount of substance from the initial reaction. But it will be an assumed value.
